what do i have to replace now?
whebn i got to my house this morning i noticed that the steering got harder and it was whining. i looked underneath and there was power steering fluid leaking. it looked like it was coming from the gear box. it was a small steady line of fluid laeking. so what has to be replaced? thanks

I don't remember O rings being in there. At any rate try to pinpoint the leak before disassembly. Wipe the fluid off and run or crank the engine just long enough to start the leak. You'll probably have to replace one of the hoses. Be careful so the pressurized fluid doesn't spray on and penetrate your skin.

If you add 1 tablespoon of brake fluid to the p/s fluid it should swell the seals enough to stop the leak-its an old-timers trick but it does work. If it still leaks after that you've got a repair to do....
