Hey guys I am getting ready to install the V/B codes this weekend and just wanted to verify that if I install the B's on the rear with the stock block and without the helper I should be close to stock height?
I know it has probably been covered but I have read so many threads about it my head is about to explode and I am one of those overly cautious people who needs reassurance
That's my recollection Tom. The other factor that I had some challenge with is the age and condition of your stock rear springs. Mine were taxed after 13 years and the newer C's probably gave more lift than i would have gotten if i had done the swap in 2001, when the stock rear Ex springs were young & spry.
fwiw, I just measured my Ex's in the shop the other day, the 05 is still on the springs it was built with, the 2000 had new springs front and rear (V/B) two years ago, the 2000 was about 1 to 1.5 inches higher in the rear than the 05. Are you concerned about it fitting in a 7' garage? My 2000 fits in my house garage just fine! Respringing the 2000 Ex was the best thing I have ever done to that truck, the 05 will get it in 2 years!

Are you running the V/B on your Excursion in the avatar?

Not concerned about the garage so much as I do not park it in the garage. The wifey fills that up nicely
I just dont want it higher in the rear. I would prefer level if not just a tiny bit higher in the front if anything.

My truck sits level, if you want a picture I can send one of the 2000 Ex, pm me you email and I can send one. I have the stock rear blocks and the spring pack front and rear is not modded at all. The truck is going to sit a inch or two higher all the way around.

In that pic, I've got both f/r factory springs and a 2 inch level kit in front. It's changed since then, but worked out well for me for 2 yrs. see a pic of the mini spring pack below.
My X is a 7.3L and I have the aftermarket V/Bs with stock rear blocks without any mods. My truck sits about 1" lower in the rear when full of fuel. Near empty, I don't even notice. I have new 4" blocks to go on it to put the factory rake back in it. The look that I like.

I like the look but I'm looking for a little better towing performance than what the stock springs are giving me and I really don't want any lift. Stock height is just fine for me. I was just wondering if it would raise or lower it with stock B codes?
Thanks Sean! That's what I was looking for.
Now I gotta track down the B codes. I had some in line but they ended up being A codes and from what I can find they are the same as what is in there now??
