1993 F-150 XL. Recently my Dash Lights stopped working. The bulbs still function cause I can pull the light switch halfway between the runninglights position and headlights and they work. Is the switch relay dead or is there something that is easily fixed?
WH- I had the same problem just two weeks ago. I figured it was a bad headlight switch, but the parts man at the dealer said to check the wiring harness. Sure enough, when I removed the switch I could see the connector on the harness had a contact that was burnt (which explains the funny burning smell I experienced earlier but went away, ha). I have not replaced anything yet. I just messed with it a little bit and it's working fine for now. I also read somewhere that adding lights to that circuit might cause that to happen, which I did by installing clearance lights to my camper shell.
Hope this helps!
