i have a 98 F150 and i was under the dash this afternoon wiring up the trailer brake and i noticed an odd electrical connector. it is located between the hood and brake release and is attatched to a metal bracket. it had 2 green and black wires and 2 red and pink wires. but only 2 pins. does anyone have any ideas???
Rear differential sensor diagnostics connector for the RABS system.
Undocumented in the service manual, but a technician can make a quick resistance check across those two pins and measure the parallel resistance of the rear ABS sensor and the input circuitry of the RABS module. A reading of 1.5K or less indicates the sensor and the wiring harness is intact.
A tech could also use a scope or AC meter to monitor the output signal of the sensor for further diagnostic testing.
