NumberDummy, thank you that was very helpful. Do you happen to have a picture of your seat?
And what do you think the door panels might have looked like new?
My 1968 F250 was totaled in 1971 by a drunk driver while it was parked at the end of a cul-de-sac. I didn't mourn its passing.
I made a mistake, 390 but it had a T-18 4 speed. Rowing that shift lever back and forth in LA traffic became tiresome very quickly!
The day after it was totaled, I bought a new 1971 Ranger XLT 390/C6. No pics of it either.
Your interior (door panels/armrests/seat) has all been redone. None of it is original, as it's 'battlecruiser' gray.
Remove one of the armrests, then look at the backside of it. It was probably dyed (it's a different shade of gray then the door panels).
You can use a razor blade to carefully scrap the dye off to see its original color.
Blue carpet would not have been installed with a green/white exterior, so it's not original either. Original carpet was probably black, because there was no parchment or green carpet.
