Depends what you are referring to. There is a boost fooler that will limit the amount of boost to keep the truck from De-fueling. If you are referring to fooling the PCM into thinking there is more boost than normal then it is difficult to do. The reason is our MAP sensors are frequency based and not analog based.

Jim, Jonathan at No Limit Tuning told me because I put the s366 turbo on to use a boost fooler so the map sensor doesn't get ruined seeing to much boost. I have a dieselsite boost fooler and always thought that its purpose was to limit the amount of boost the map saw so the PCM wouldn't defuel. I took it off, IDK

Our Boost Relief Valve fools the map sensor into seeing less boost than the truck is actually making. It does this with a bleed off valve. It is a mechanical fix as opposed to electronic. When the map sensor detects 24 lbs of boost for an extended period of time, the truck will throw a code and will defuel.

Tuners now have the ability to turn up the boost limit value on the PCM. Our Boost Relief Valve is a $50 alternative for those who don't have it in their tuning.

It will not help build boost.

a boost fooler will not raise boost levels on a stock truck.
as the others have said, it is a pressure regulator to trick the map sensor into thinking the truck is making less boost than it actually is after adding a tuner.

Where are you measuring boost? Hot side of the intercooler or cold side?

16-psi seems pretty low. I can pull 20 psi easy and all I have done is opened up the air stream. If I keep my foot in it long enough in 3rd gear I hit 23-psi.

Have you checked for leaks on the intake side?

No that was the numbers I was getting with the 1.15 housing. I haven't had the gauge in since I did the 1.0.

Have you checked for leaks? Maybe on the up pipes.
