anyone running 351c headers on a 400?
picked up some 351c long tube headers. i had the driver's side on in seconds. but the passenger side i have been moving it around for a couple hours trying to get it on. the starter is in the way,, tranny lines in the way, frame in the way... im wondering if anyone has these headers on their truck or if it's impossible.

Assuming you bought headers for a 351/400M, which would seem to make sense, you're probably having issues because the deck height on the "M" is almost 1" higher, and some amount further apart, so the header tubes are trying to go where they weren't designed to go.

heat up headers red hot and bend till they clear. Had to do this to a header in a 79 ford f150 4wd. cleveland and long tube headers. Got a good deal but lots of work to make happen. i'm a little smarter now on these things. is this 2wd or 4wd?

Its a 4wd. The driveshaft may not clear once i get the front axle back on the truck. With the help of a hammer i was able to get the passenger header on. Its extremely tight so im going to do some more bending. Wow they are so much louder than manifolds and a straight pipe. Definitely getting some mufflers or glasspacks
