I haven't shopped shocks for awhile, but for non-adjustables, I've always had real good luck with Bilsteins. We went with the RS9000 Ranchos and haven't had any issues. What made up my mind on going adjustable is: going from fully loaded to empty takes a different dampening and if you go bigger tires it also takes a dampening change. On the latter tho, I'm going back to stock size next set -- we just run too close to max axle capacity, and are at the max capacity on the BFGs we run now...

You can tell a big difference on the 9000s as you turn the **** and adjust dampening btw...

On edit: forgot to say it's pretty easy to change shocks imo...

Remove lower bolt. Remove upper bolt. Replace shock, reinstall bolts.

But seriously:
Front shock, upper stud- 46 lb-ft
Front shock, lower bolt- 111 lb-ft
Rear shock, upper bolt - 46 lb-ft
Rear shock, lower bolt- 66 lb-ft

The front upper stud might be a mess of rust (all ours our even in Texas), I'd recommend soaking it in a high quality penetrating oil, maybe cutting the top of the stud off with a sawzall, and using a ratcheting box-end wrench since it's tight for a socket. Or a nut splitter, cold chisel or air hammer can be used to just pop the nut off.

I use Kroil for a penetrating oil. It went 16 for 16 on my exhaust bolts:
