Shock shopping...

Anyone have any experience with Skyjacker Nitro or Hydro shocks? I've got the quad shock front end, so I need four of them, and there's a $35 rebate(almost works out to buy 3, get one free, after rebate) if I get four of 'em from Jegs.

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...Id=10002&Nty=0

There are six shocks that come up for my application, three hydro, three nitro, and I'm not sure what the difference is?

Any suggestions on other brands? Am I better off going with something cheaper(I've seen sub-$20 shocks) since I'll have two per side?

I'm probably going to do the coils at the same time, any suggestions are welcome there, too.

They aren't cheap, but I swear by the KYB Monomax shocks.

The Bilsteins are defiantly not cheap. But they are awesome. We put some 7100's on my brothers land rover and they are amazing. im thinking about the 5100's for my truck.

As for Nitro vs. Hydro. From what iv heard the difference is in dampening power. The Hydros have a lot more dampening and handle heavy trucks better, and you really only need to just run 1 set of them up front. i'v heard the Nitros work good too but only with the dual shocks up front, it gives them 2x as much control as it would on a normal truck, otherwise they feel bouncy.

I kind of want to keep the twin shocks, so the Bilstein 5100's are probably outside my price range. The KYB's are a bit closer, but still outside my price range. Any other inputs?

How about springs?

I'm looking at some new shocks myself. Probably will foot the bill for Bilsteins but I dont have the quad shock front.
