390 flywheel issue
I'm in the home stretch for getting the ol 76 back on the road and having trouble finding a flywheel for a good price. Jegs has one for 84 buck but not sure if it will work with my set up. My clutch disk measures 12" across but have read some post saying it will still fit a 11.5 flywheel any info helps thanks

Is your 460 internally or externally balanced ? If its int bal then your pretty much stuck trying to find one from a 360-390 because I have yet to ever come across any mfgr that cast one, so your stuck buying a billit one and thats why they are so expensive.

It has a 390 gt motor in it but when looking for a flywheel all I find is the 11 or 11.5s unless I want to dish out 350 for a billet flywheel but a lot of people say the 12" will fit the 11.5

u didn't say what motor you are working on. if its a 460 go to racingjunk.com type in 460 flywheel and youll come up with a new billet ford racing flywheel for $140.00. I bought one theyre awesome. you can get both styles internal balance and external. since your looking at 390 flywheels I assume you have an internal balance motor. these flywheels are drilled for different size clutches. a 390 wheel is not drilled out for a 12" clutch you have to redrill it. 140 is cheap
