They were used from the 50's well into the 60's and 70's on various trucks up to (I think) the F-700 or so.
If you cannot find the exact one for your F6, you can easily adapt one from later years to work and you can buy an A1 Cardone unit from Rock Auto (and that's what I'd do)
thanks for your reply found a company in fort wayne that said they can rebuild mine going to ship it hope their work is good again thanks
From what I ran in to in my experience, anyone who said they could rebuild it didn't know what they were getting into. Those that did know and were reputable know that the rebuild kits are unavailable/unserviceable for the original boosters found on our trucks and will encourage you to upgrade to the next model used on the newer trucks for just around the $200 mark. It is almost a bolt on application. See my thread mentioned above.
not sure how to get to your thread have not used this site much would hate to waste money on trying to do a rebuild installing a newer model makes better sense would like to read thread thanks mike

I am pretty sure that the one I got from Cascade 5 years ago WAS a newer one. They said it would work the same as the "older" model. (and it did!)
Those boosters were used up into the 70's when brake systems went dual circuit. There was at least one (or more) model year(s) that used a dual circuit master cylinder AND 2 separate (Hydrovac) boosters (one for the front system and one for the back!)
I have considered doing that for my F-600 if I cannot get the "right" dual chamber (hydroboosted) master cyl
