How to change coolant sensor 2002 4.0

If it has the plastic thermostat housing that has the 2 sensors side by side in it, Just to remove the sensors you do not have to take the intake off. I would recomend to get your replacement parts from the dealership though, there is an O-ring set that the press in style have that a parts house usually don't have. This would be a good time to pull the intake if you have the mechanical ability to do so. They usually start having air leaks causing lean codes with age and that would be a preventative maintenence matter. Not a big job but worth it.
