I useally park nose up take the hex screw out and drain a cup or two out in a clear glass so you can see whats there and if theres alge that will show up aswell .I dont know if this will be your Issuie but its a good habit to form, and the truck will run better by doing this,back to the filters when was the last replacement OIL and fuel ,the gauge you have will help with trouble shooting if it read live data,benny and the guys here will help .
SO right before it DIES does it start to Knock and then Stall??
If SO^^^its Hydrolocking and thats BAD WAY BAD
it may blow Headgaskets or tweek piston wristpin assembly
Dont try to even start it anymore if this^^^is the case
Hopefulley its just pushing Compression air bubbles into the Fuel Rail
A Bubble Test will verify this and something tells me you are probably going to fail the Bubble test

That right there is a Big HINT its Injector Relaited for the Poor Drivability concern/Running Bad
My money is Bad Injector/s or Inject orings before Turbo being the Culprit
Smell the oily substance in the Downpipe see if smells like diesel fuel
