Replacement Dorman ABS Sensor
I broke one ABS sensor recently and took a chance on a $46 by Dorman on Amazon.
It came as shown below in a box with instructions, a note to call customer service if there was an issue, a new bolt, a small quantity of lube in a plastic bag. The clips for the frame and the one that bolts to the hub were already installed.
The entire item looked clean and brand new like plastic straight from the factory ...
.... however the sensor at the tip looked used??? Maybe that came from testing?
The connector end "boot" was loose on this one and could easily be slid back to expose the wires and attachment point. The Simplex Timken one I was replacing was much more robust in that area.
It took a good bit of effort to get it into the hole the old one came from.
However, it works. I'll find out eventually how long it lasts for.
