A couple more thoughts:
Everything behind my cab is aluminum. Hillsboro are aluminum specialists, they make cattle hauler, flatbeds, heavy equipment tilt flatbeds, dog boxes and more, all aluminum.
So my toolboxes, aux fuel tank, spare tire cover and the 5th wheel hitch cover are all aluminum. They use aluminum extrusions instead of diamond plate. Very strong and no warpage, I guess I sound like a salesman for them, I'm not, just a lover of their quality and business ethics
I just added these thoughts because I wanted to save bed weight on my truck and not have to worry about rusting. These aluminum extrusions are amazing.

just figured id give you my .02cent on the CC ive got a F350 C&C with a CM bed SS model 4 10 gear with H&S on it have had no problems it was job 1 and it pulls like a beast and can haul alot of weight on bed but when its unload it rides a little rough but i dont mind it i love it ive got 52,000 miles
