Back in college I had a 66 F100 Step-side with a 460 that was bored over and could outrun everything except a gas station. Didn't help that a buddy and I had mounted a hot tub in the bed.
Anyhow about 2 months ago, I got run off the road on my motorcycle by a dbag in a Jaguar doing 80 around the bend in a residential road, on the wrong side. The resulting injuries and time in hospital left me stuck home (which I still am) watching reruns of all the car shows and scouring ebay and CL for my own project. I started off looking for an early to mid 50's, but found a barn fresh 57 with very little rust... As a former Fire Fighter the fact that it had started off life as a Fire Service vehicle didn't hurt. I am going to start a rebuild thread elsewhere.
Originally I am from Toronto but have lived in San Diego for about 2 years now. Love San Diego and looking forward to meeting the local members and helping out on some projects.
Clicks the link in my reply (three up) there are plenty of pics in my rebuild thread. Just trying to save some bandwidth for the site by not posting the same pics twice.
