Strange Occurances???

Whats the oddest, strangest or most unexplainable TRUE thing that you have ever had happen to you?

For instance....

One night, when I was 17, we drove down this loooong dirt road ouside of McDonough GA to get to a 150yr old grave yard. It was pitch black and this place was out in the boondocks. There were 5 of us and we sat around telling ghost stories and stuff until about 3 in the morning. When it was time to go we started driving back down the road and in the rear view mirror we see a very pale lady in a white wedding dress standing in the road about 15' behind the car pointing at us. That totally freaked us out so we high tailed it out of there. About 2 miles back up the dirt road we came to Hwy 138 in the middle of nowhere. We got to the intersection and standing right across the street at the t-junction was the same woman in the wedding dress pointing at us. We turned West towards Conyers and took off as fast as we could. At the next intersection we came to a stop sign. We stopped and calmed down for a minute, then started laughing about it. We were making fun of each other and how we all looked and reacted. Then one of the girls that was with us let out a little scream and we looked behind the car again. The same pale woman in the wedding dress was walking towards us about 50 yards behind the car with her finger pointing at us.

We took off and that's the last we ever saw of that woman.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say she didn't like people at her graveyard .

I've had alot of small things happen to me, but never anything that clear I don't think. I've heard footsteps before when no one was there and such. I lived in Crossville, Tennessee about 4 years ago, and part of our house there used to be a very old train depot. They had doubled the house in width and added an upstairs, it was huge. Well, me and my step-father were gone one day and my mom was laying down, she says she woke up to see soldiers standing around her bed holding rifles, and she jumped up and ran outside and stayed out there until she got brave enough to go back in. I've never really saw anything though. I do love reading ghost stories though.

Were you on anything? Something similar happened to me when I was on that stuff.

The house here has it in the past, hasn't been so active for a while, but when I first was seeing my soon to be wife, I would hear a shuffling in the hallway, but noone had been up. The bedroom door was closed when we went to sleep, but would be open by morning, noone had been up. They said it was grandpa, who had passed a few years before.
Next, the doorbell started going off, but the button has been disconnected for years... It started shortly after my daughter's death, then the night her grandmother passed, it started up again. It was her grandparent's house, is the connection there. It's been a little while since it happened lately.

Well lets see,

I was egging someones house on halloween, with two of my freinds, I had the strange feeling someone was watching us as I did it. I turned around slowly, I thought the owner was watching us, and right behind me, I mean RIGHT behind me was a 10 foot tall, black figure, with no face, and hands reaching out for me. I told my freind to turn away, not to look, and start to run. I was never so scared in my life.

Now comes the freaky part for me, My mom, whom I told about this, commenced to tell me about the women in my family. Supposidly we had some so called, "witches" in our family tree. My mom, when young did something like calling spirits trough a mirror, and supposidly let this "thing" out. She said it had followed her for many years. Well before I saw him, she had moved, so her thinking was, it found me, to find her. So when I went to visit her, guess who we all saw again, all being me, my mom, my sisters, my step dad, all of us. When my wife and I had to stay with my mom for a few months, we were laying in bed, and I woke up because she was screaming, she said she saw a man at the foot of the bed, really tall, had no face, and she said she saw his hands reaching out for her. I had never told her about the times I had saw him before that.

So you tell me, ghosts don't exisit

the weirdest thats happened to me, is probably when I was younger, I used to catch brief glimpses of dead relatives spirits, then shortly afterward, someone in the family would pass on, INCREDIBLY weird, but I havent seen that happen in years now.

Jbabbler, are you sure y'all werent smokin the good stuff, or trippin? that sounds REALLY creepy.

LOL----I'm a good-ol-Georgia boy. We don't do that sort of thing. Now Beer on the other hand.....that's a whole 'nother story.

Here's another one....
My grandmother woke up in the middle of the night when she was in her thirties to see her mother sitting on the foot of her bed. They lived 250 miles apart. Anyway, she said "Mom, what are you doing here?" Her mom answered. I just wanted to tell you I love you and kiss you good bye". A few minutes later the phone rang and it was her dad calling to tell her that her mom had just passed away.

Very often I will think of someone seemingly out of the blue...doesn't matter if it has been 2 days or twenty years since I have seen them...and they will call, show up at my door step, or I accidentally run into them somewhere.

One day I thought of an account credit manager that used to work for me 8 years earlier....the very next day...not only did we bump into each other at the airport but, we were on the same flight. He was seated across the isle one row back from me. This kinda stuff happens enough that it gets really spooky sometimes.

Now if I could just connect with those lotto #'s

Unless it was murder, you've passed the statute of limitations.

when i was little, bout 3 years old, i woke up one morning and told my parents that Nana had come and seen me the night before. this wouldnt have been so strange if she hadnt passed away 1 year before i was born. I dont remember this, but this is what my parents told me. There is also a corner of the house that i always see a white shape of a person out of the corner of my eye, but when i turn and look nuthing is ever there.

The lady before us died in this house, and i dont think she has ever left. she was the original owner and bought the house in 1944.

jbabbler - I know from years of intense viewing of Scooby Doo that all you saw was Old Man Jenkins in a ghostly dress. Probably had a hidden cache of gold near the graveyard.

He would have gotten away with it too if it hadn't been for those meddling kids.... and their stupid dog!
