Been doing some mechanical work on it. No body work yet, so no new photos (well, I should have got some offroading yesterday, but was busy driving

It's running decently -- though we just found out that the spark plug wires were not all to the right cylinders. Ooops. Two of the old plugs were completely utterly fowled -- probably from never firing at the right time, and 6 were decent, even though compression is same on all cylinders. So, I think it was more like a v6 than a v8. Still had lots of torque... V8 should be even better Some new ujoints, seals, etc are in order. Oil pan leaks like crazy (steady drip every 3 to 4 seconds while running.....). Biggest mechanical issue still to be solved is the transfer case -- it'll shift if you take the linkages off and tap the rods from under the truck, but won't shift from the lever inside. It was kind a low on oil (bad output seals), but looks good when you look inside. Front springs are kind of weak (bottoming out...), possibly from many years of having that bumper up there... Back springs are new though. Still need to figure out of I have 4.10 gears or 4.56 gears. 1st gear in high range seems much lower than 1st gear high range in my '94 -- I know that actual gearing in the NP435 is a little lower than the ZF5, but still feels lower still. Either that or this thing has even more torque at idle than my 7.3 IDI diesel, and that's in v6 mode

My buddy wants to buy it from me already

Also, forgot to mention, I've got a 120 amp alternator and a MSD ignition to put on it. The higher capacity alternator because of the winch (and other stuff that I might add), and the MSD should make it start nice in the cold -- my old '56 chevy 2 ton has one, and it will start right up at 10 degrees with barely any choke. MSD's have gotten really cheap... I expected it to be $300+ just for the box, but it was only $200 for the base level MSD plus a hotter coil to go with it plus shipping.

Runs better now, with the plugs in the right order. It's a wonder it would run at all before. Finding more oil leaks... pretty bad one from the back of the intake manifold, as well as the oil pan, and possibly the front and rear mains... Guess it's rustproofing itself
