Infinaty installed!

I just got my new DP Infinaty installed and it has lived up to my expectations so far. I had a 6 position chip from Swamps Diesel but it would always throw codes and defuel and EGT's where through the roof. But with the tunes from Jody this rig rocks from the time i installed all my up grades until today i have never been able to lay into the throttle until today and it is awesome. The tunes he built for me are almost spot on they just need minor tweaking but nothing major. I have been waiting to long for this but so far worth the wait!

I use mine for guages and love it. I have a F6 for tunes. Jody is developing a hub to run dual EGT's and 8 other 5 volt inputs so you can add all the guages to the infinity and data log all of it.

awesome! i was thinking about AE but i dont like the idea of a laptop in my truck while im driving lol so i will definitely be looking into the infinity, it sounds like one great single unit used for multiple things.

Also the Infinity logs and reads data somewhere around 4 times faster, And I've been told by someone on here that uses AE alot that Infinity can see things AE can not. Dont know much about it yet, I've only had it a couple weeks, but itseems pretty awsome.

It can see Start Of Injection (SOI) if you add more hardware... but that's reeeally deep into Geeklandia.

Your right the tires was the first thing to go! The gauges on the Infinaty are awesome it reads more than i can even understand. The only thing i don't like about it I thought you could change programs on the fly but you have to shut the truck off and down load them.

cjgray1974; Am i understanding you correctly can i put my tunes on F6 and run my Infinaty for gauges? If so i just wasted $$ on the tunes that i had put on the Infinaty that sucks!

If I understand this correctly, you can use the Infinity in place of the Moates selector (square thing on dash with LED display) for your F6 or F5 chip and select your tunes on-on-the-fly. You would have the Infinity and the chip, but not the little black box. If there is no chip, the Infinity programs the PCM through the OBDII port... but the engine has to be shut off to do this.

There is another chip called a Quarterhorse (If I have my information straight) that makes the system like a Hydra on horse steroids... run any tune (DP or TS) and see more information than previously available - directly from the chip/PCM and bypassing the glacially-paced OBDII network. That last sentence should be confirmed before dusting off the Buck$Zooka and grabbing a really big money clip.

Yes, thats what I did. Call jody, I would think he would put your tunes on an F6 if you were to buy one. You already paid for the tunes shouldn't matter if they are on the Infinity or the F6. But I'm just guessing

I asked Jody about the quarterhorse and he said it takes alot more to get it set up and he's not sure he's gonna offer it in the future. Not sure you can run a chip plus the Quarterhorse and I think the infinity can do about as much as the quarterhorse now. And when they get the CEI-hub released you will be able to use the infinity to switch any chip, not just the DP chips...... If I am understanding evrything right

OP and the rest of you that have the Infinity, glad you like it!

So far all of the info I have seen posted in this thread is correct. To answer the one question I have not seen answered by someone else... Yes, the Infinity will be able to change positions on any current day chip. This would include our chips(F5, F6, F8), TS chips, SCT chips...

If any of you have any questions at all about the Infinity, feel free to contact me. I would be happy to help you out with any questions you may have.

Oh, and to the Infinity owners that haven't done this already, go to our website and download the custom themes that we have made. There are a couple Ford match themes that will match your gauge cluster(one for daytime and one for night time). I am very close to creating one that is a combination of the day and night versions so you will not have to switch between themes. Instead, you will just change screens.

I am curious, The F8 will accept anybody's tunes? if that is the case, can it be used to load both DP and TS style tunes through the Infinity??
