Fuse #3 under the hood driver's side shorted. Took fuse panel under dash completely out, but still have short on #3. Lost instument lights, running lights, cab lights.
Unpluged light switch..fuse panel unpluged, but still short on #3 30 amp fuse.
Help any ideas?
It's a 2006 F350 Duelly Super Crew FX4 Lariat..Powerstroke.
Has everything but sliding roof, and elec sliding rear glass.
Just another note..I disconected the intergraded trailer brake
controller, but the No. 3 30amp still shorts
#3 fuse under the hood is for the transfer case high to low and low to high relay
brake controller is #101 under dash
Only fuse under hood thats for lights is for trailer or day time running lights
I have unplugged both connectors on the transfer case..still short at #3.
I have no blown fuses under the dash,,that's the confusing part, Why would the green with light green stripe wire that goes to the TF case take out my inst/running lights with it.
I'm still hunting,
a diagram of the gn/lg stripe wire would help me to chase it out.
I believe the dark green/light green wire goes to Auxiliary relay box#3
Next to drivers side battery is a relay box (about the size of a deck of cards). those are the high to low low to high
BJB F3 doesn't feed the instrument illumination lamps. The ONLY thing that BJB F3 feeds, according to the factory schematics, are the ESOF relays located in Aux Relay Box #3. If doesn't go anywhere else unless it's been hacked up.

And when I short across #3 fuse the 2 small black wires I think they're
center pins on the relays..anyway they'll smoke. If they are grounds then why are they burning?
Okay, you really need to take the truck to someone who understands electricity.
I Can read a map too, but without a schematic it's hard to know where
you're going. Now trying to find a schematic on the computer seems to be impossiable. I am TOO STUPID for that!
