Hi, just installed an edelbrock performer intake, edelbrock 650 thunder avs, and long tube headers on the 352 in my '67 F100.. ust wondering if it is worth it to put a carb spacer on.. I think I have enough good clearance w/ air cleaner, but would it make any difference with power/efficiency?
You may find like me that you have to. After running the truck a bit, you can stop (let's say for a coffee) come out and the truck doesn't want to crank because the hot intake has boiled all the gas out.
Installing a 1" phenolic spacer stopped the boiling and I could feel & hear a performance increase with it on. This was 12 + years back so no fresh details.
