I would like to get some more light out of my headlights. I have upgraded to the 2003 type headlights What is the best replacement bulbs for night and rain.. No HID Just straight bulb replacement...
To get the most out of your stock or stockish halogens get a harness to get juice straight from the batteries. HIDs will put out way more light for like $20 more, but I can see the virtue of getting a replacement bulb anywhere, or not confusing someone else working on the truck.
I hope that was your question, can't help ya with the seat covers.
), which are on the expensive side, but work well, especially in conjunction with the new '02-04 reflector-style lens housings & an upgraded wiring harness.
I too didn't want HIDs without a housing properly designed for HIDs, especially as my truck is lifted 8" & I didn't want to blind or annoy everyone, especially around town. The above combo works well, and I plan to get some HID aux off-road lights and/or an LED bar for off-roading, or deserted roads out in the middle of nowhere.
All my rigs have Silverstars. They all put out enough light to spot suicidal deer in plenty of time. Daytime is a whole other topic... it's like they know they have to put more effort into it.
Do the harnesses need to be updated for silverstars, or can I just plug 'em in? I did upgrade to the '02 clear headlight assemblies, but the stock bulbs leave a little to be desired...

No need to change harnesses. It is still a 9007 bulb so it plugs right in.

As stated by DP they plug right in. Most the guys on here when talking about the harness upgrade, and doing so to run 80-90 watt bulbs.
I have Silverstars on my little truck and I am not that impressed, better but worth it?? As Tugly mentioned we have very suicidal deer here as most of us do. I still drive with my foot on the brake. ( So to speak ) Three deer and an elk in five years, sucks.
Installing some Hella's when the weather warms up.
Don't want to hijack here but can you get silverstars for your fog lights too?? I want to upgrade my bulbs too but I'd like to do my fog lights with the same bulbs.

Yep. They are 9145 bulbs and you can get them in the Silverstar version. They are about $20 a piece.
