AzPete's technique makes sense to me. I have my one rule: Puffed to max without uneven wear. It's rougher riding, but the fuel economy is directly proportional to the air pressure. I won't trade $1200 worth of rubber for a little bit of fuel, though. The front can take a lot more pressure (without wear) than some people realize.

That is so true. I wonder if the chaulk/water method does not take into account the cornering wear the front's recieve, meaning we might want to run them with a bit more air. Of course, regular tire rotation could take care of that.
