I have a early model 1999 f-250 superduty, and I just bought new remote keyfobs to use for it, and I have tried the programming instructions that came with it , the key run 5 times and the key run 8 times and no success trying to get it in programming mode. so I thought maybe it was because its an early model 99 sd id try the pin method of programming , but I can not find any pics of the connector im supposed to jumper to even try it.
is it possible that my rig didn't come with remote entry ?
is there a way to tell?
does anyone have pics of the connector to jumper to reprogram the early rigs ?
Yes, it's possible it may not have come with RKE. What trim level is your truck?
I don't think e99 or 99.5 has anything to do with it. I've seen trucks with and without RKE. Very few of our fleet trucks have RKE...
I beleive it is xlt. But the previous owner had changed a lot. But I've got pw pl cc ac cloth seats and rubber floors

RKE was an option so it's anyone's guess if your truck came equipped with that feature. I'd say if the locks don't actuate after you cycle the key several times then you most likely do not have the feature. Have you tried disconnecting the negative battery cable(s) for a while, then reconnect and try again? I have no idea if that will help anything but it won't hurt to try.
