TRANSMISSION PROBLEM HELP!

My transmission fluid is GONE(very very low). Had been dripping a little in recent months, nothing major, just a drip on bottom of pan every now and then and still read full on dipstick. A few days ago a large leak occurred when i pulled out of the drive (steady drip). Still read full at end of day, shifted a little slow. Been shifting slow all week and read full ( been checking every time i drive) until this morning, read very very low ( fortunately its straight shot to my school and speed limit is only 25...still scared to drive with tranny like this though). Going to get fluid before i drive again, just to home or a shop, any ideas on what an exact problem is so shop doesnt bull**** me (people who've had tranny serviced or any problem like this would be a great help) Sorry for such long post i just am not familiar with transmissions at all. Trans cooler has some seals that like to leak, that would most likely be your issue.

Start with that and start with checking the pan seal.

What part of the transmission is the leak coming from? For example, is the transmission fluid coming from the front , back, or side of the transmission? Is it draining from the inspection plate?
