leaking transmission

On friday i noticed that my tranny was leaking, from the pan. I went out of town this weekend and was going to work on when i got back.. so i look under there today and the leak has stopped.. there is no sign of where the fluid came from. . so i checked the level of my fluid and its fine.. i am so confussed on why there would be and leak and then it just stop.. anybody have any ideas..

Are you sure it was trans fluid? It could of been another fluid like anti-freeze that was leaking up front and blowing back on the trans while driving.

Spray everything down with some engine or brake cleaner, and start it up and start looking. That's probably the easiest way.

well i know the leak has stopped.. but maybe i worded my question incorrectly.. the question is.. has anyone ever had a transmission leak.. and then just stop leaking.. its the craziest thing.. it was leaking.. then stopped.. but the fluid level is fine..
