Front Wheel Bearings
I have both a 2000 as well as an 07 F250. I know the front wheel bearings were prone to go out at about 100K miles and have replaced both in my 2000 after the first one failed. How about the 2007 model year? Same issue? I have 118,000 miles now on the 07 and would rather replace the bearings as preventive maintenance rather than being stranded on the highway somewhere.

bearings in my experience, just do go.... they are a gradual decline...once they start going bad however it doesn't take long for them to get dangerous.... I've always felt abnormality in the steering. But also to respond to the specific 07 question, I wouldn't know.

It was obvious the day the bearing went on my 2000. All of a sudden that side of the front end drooped just a little and there was noticeable drag and a grinding noise. When you jacked up the front end and rotated the tire it sounded terrible.
