Well about 90 miles since I left BTS and all I can say is oh &$#%! If you drive a 7.3 and you have not deleted the Ebpv pedestal and added the larger turbo housing do it now. That plus his tranny and tunes and my truck has been awakened. You talk about a towing machine. Now I'm broke but you can't wipe the grin off my face!
Awesome! Yeah, I'm sure it cost a fortune...but it's far less than a new $50k truck that you have to add exhaust fluid to every few fill-ups. You HAVE a new truck. And I'll bet you his tranny would rip the new trucks' tranny to shreds in a tug-o-war.
Wow, congrats on the revived truck. All I do is dream of getting a new tranny (BTS/JW)- love that they spend time building that piece of mind and let you ask questions. I didn't realize removing the EBPV pedestal and larger turbo would make such a difference? Can this be done without doing all the other work?
Can't wait for pictures, always trying to convince my better half it would be a great vacation - but the $$$ are tight. Thanks for sharing and I am envious.
There is a write up somewhere about deleting the pedestal. The hardest thing is you have to close off a couple of holes that are left when the pedestal is deleted. I also had two pretty big exhaust leaks. My mileage had went south. Looks like I am back above 17.
I had Brian and his team perform his magic on my second truck in December. This includes the complete transmission redo, the exhaust housing, installing ceramic coated up pipes, installing a new 6.0 cooler, a set of single shot injectors and the WONDERFULL Brian Tunes to make it all work! I love this guy.....
Back in 2011 I read about BTS here on FTE and decided to take my 2001 to them when the transmission started to fail. Once I was there, and began talking with Brian, I knew I had made a very good choice. In fact I had him add his tunes before leaving his shop!
Last year when I bought my 2002 F350 I immediately started saving for it's trip to Lead Hill. All the upgrades cost me over $7,000.00 and it was the best money I ever spent. And as everyone else has stated, I drove away with a completely different truck
