I was there yesterday. There were a lot of really cool cars. I was surprised by how much other "stuff" is at the auction. Roush (one of my former employers) had a display, as did several of the larger parts places. There were some exotic car dealers selling cars that were not in the auction, too.
You can see more on TV! The stage where the auction actually takes place is much smaller in person than I thought it was from what I could see on TV. If you have bidder's credentials you can sit in the chairs that you see on TV. If not, you can sit in grandstands off to each side. There is probably one grandstand seat for every 100 people there.
And that was Friday. I heard several people say there will be twice as many people on Saturday. And Friday was rainy, today is cool and sunny. So it will be a madhouse there! I saw enough yesterday.
