I'm hoping that I'll be able to find another PCM from a wrecking yard for a half ways decent price, but if I can't does anybody have any info on Cardone, NAPA, and Standard Motor Products reman PCMs? I don't necessarily want to go the reman route; but if I have to, I have to.

I don't know which supplier may be "better" - I know some are simply "spray and pray rebuilds". I'd be inclined to just get one from the U-Pull junkyard and replace the capacitors myself. In fact, I've got a batch of the capacitors, I just haven't bothered with the actual replacement just yet.

Thanks for the reply; that's exactly what I've heard and read about most of the reman PCM's. I'm hoping my local auto recycling company will have something for me when I go in this week, even if i have to put new capacitors in it, but I might as well be ready to take another path if need be.

Standard Motor Products is an excellent supplier for used PCMs. From my experience they are one of the few rebuilders who actually rebuild and tests them.

That is great to know, thank you; RockAuto appears to have the correct one for me for about $75 before core charges so I may be looking into that route a little bit more just to make sure I have a good computer.

I was going to suggest that because of all the different stickers on the existing PCM. Hard telling what you have in that "black box"

Well, I looked closer at the 2 other stickers on my PCM that I didn't upload pictures of because they were almost completely illegible. It appears that my PCM is a reman, but I can't tell anything else from them; I'm not sure if the stickers are just heat damaged or if it's water damage. I'm going to clean up the connector and put it back in just to see if I can get the pickup to start and try to pull codes with a scanner this weekend.

I'm hopefully going to make it to the auto recyclers this afternoon or tomorrow; do the codes on a different computer have to exactly match my E7TF-12A650-AU1B with a "GU1" catch code, or is there other codes that will also work in my pickup? Thanks.

Your best bet is to match what is supposed to fit your truck.

Well, after cleaning up the PCM, PCM connector, cleaning the IAC valve, and doing a full tune-up; I was able to get my pickup running great today.

Looks like the sticker with my calibration code is on my valve cover but it completely illegible thanks to a valve cover leak, thanks for your time.
