Dash Bulbs

Does anyone know what size or number light bulbs go into the dash cluster, brake light, for a ’72 F-250 ? I don’t need wiring diagram, just bulb information.

1893 seems to be a pretty common bulb.

You cannot use an 1893 bulb in place of a 168 or 194 bulb. 1893 is a single contact bulb w/a metal end, bulb twists into the socket.

168/194 are all glass bulbs w/a 'wedge' shaped end that pushes directly into their replaceable instrument cluster plastic sockets.

The plastic sockets (F4UZ-13B765-A replaced C8OZ-13711-A & B) are available from Ford, used in gazillions of 1968 and later vehicles.

194 has 2 candlepower, 168 has 3 candlepower.

even with proper bulbs in mine it is horribly lit.
I am missing the sockets for the oil and alt lights but the rest are there.
PO probably removed them when they put aftermarket gauges under the dash.
