Not with the truck almost being bulletproof and not having the egr anymore, I put my foot in it and the turbo wines up like a beast throwing black smoke and takes off like a rocket ship I've had it at about 130-140mph, I was wondering there's wiggers and ricers everywhere and **** drivers in hybrids and all sorts of **** I was thinking of throwing in a smoke switch on the turbo just so I can really get back at idiots on the road my question is since my truck is not built up I don't see any real damage as long as I use it in a responsible manner and with all the smoke I kick on take off will it be throwing more?
Not to take away from your excitement over getting your truck back, but you shouldn't be blowing black smoke ( rolling coal as its so affectionately referred to ) Diesels that are billowing out black smoke give all diesel owners a bad name and diesels in general warranted or not. You can make plenty of power without smoking.
Hummm so black is bad even when at a light I stomp on it, it's blows out a belly of black? It seems to do it when the turbo is winding up is it because that unused fuel is begin pushed out before takeoff? I know with a lite foot it doesn't do it as much, I'm taking the truck in to have new step up injectors put into here maybe that will cut it down some

Look into a Powermax before you do....
I had the same issue when I ran my stock turbo with Stage I injectors. The truck got up and went easily, but it belched out alot of smoke doing so. I upgraded to the bigger, better 38R and see considerably less smoke.
You're seeing black smoke becuase you're not pushing enough air to burn the fuel you're putting down. With bigger injectors, it'll only get worse....
Truck is fast that's for sure no governer had to see I could go faster but ran out of room, I won't ever go that fast again needless to say I coasted to a stop on that trip
