Hi All, I am trying to remove the bolts from the torque converter. For some reason, the engine will not rotate allowing me to move the bolts to the access window. What might be preventing this engine from rotating. I've dropped the transfer case and only the transmission remains.
Remove all of the belts just for good measure if you haven’t done so already. Then remove the spark plugs. Try to rotate it again. If it won’t move, the engine is seized in some form or fashion. Try putting a good amount of ATF or Marvel Mystery Oil in each cylinder and let it soak overnight. Get a big breaker bar and put it on the crank bolt. See if it will move.

I undid the belt and shifted trans to neutral using the lever on the trans. With a crowbar and some force i could rotate the engine
