Question C6 Transmission Removal

I bought a very nice 95 E150 with a very blown engine. (i don't mean supercharged). The body and interior is in such great shape. Here is my dillema, I have stripped the front of the van down and I am almost ready to pull the engine, but I can not unbolt the tourque converter bolts because the engine is completely seized and will not budge. The instruction for disconnecting the engine and transmission always say to rotate the crankshaft and disconnect the tourque converter bolts from the flywheel. But, there is no way this engine is going to turn over until its broken guts are removed. Can the engine and transmission be separated without unbolting the tourque converter. I don't see why you can't pull the transmission back from the engine and leave the tourque converter connected to the engine. Any one done this? I can't wait to get this engine out, so I can put in a rebuilt mighty six. If anyone is interested in seeing how much work it is to pull an engine from an econoline, checkout my gallery. I have posted 10 or 12 photos in my gallery, I have taken over 100 photos so far, so I can remember how to put it all back together. I have bagged and tagged everything!

I would just remove the trans and engine at the same time then take em apert once out, it'll be a hell of alot easier.
