Hi Jowilker,
I use the truck every weekend and occasionally through the week, my 12 year old son has already told me he wants 1 so when I have him over I take him out.. I've got a friend coming over to help me bleed the system so will keep you all updated.. also not so cheap once I've factored in shipping to the UK, import duties & tax
Sorry bro, I reply to posts not to peeps, I forgot you were across the pond. Please forgive.
That's ok, you're forgiven I guess there aren't many of us Brits on here??
I was looking for an alternative to replacing the whole M/C and was considering rebuild kit problem is I've found several options, so now have a few more questions about the brakes
ok she's a '72 F250, was a 360, 8 lug wheels with optional power front discs.
1. is C9TZ-2004-G. the correct M/C rebuild kit?
2. need to replace the bleed nipples, (look original!) are they all the same size for discs/drums?
3.rebuild kit for drum wheel cylinders, what diameter for rebuild kit?
4.trying to work out which reservoir does front brakes & which does rear, do the lines from M/C go to proportioning valve first (I'm guessing it does)? if so are there markings on valve to show where the lines go in/out?? just in case a past PO has goofed there!!

The rear (larger) reservoir does the front brakes. The smaller front reservoir does the rear brakes. The front brake lines will go in and out of the same end of the proportioning valve. Then the same for rear lines.

F250: With dual piston calipers, the rear drum brakes are 12" x 2 1/2" as are 1966/79 F250 Camper Specials and F250's with 7500/8100 lbs. GVW's.
All 1953/65 F250's and some 1966/79 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" brakes.
1964/72 Ford Truck Parts Catalog available on a CD from hipoparts.com. No VAT on books. 1999, spent a small fortune at book store adjacent to National Maritime Museum.
Bought even more at Imperial War Museum May 2002. Dumb American tourists were unaware of QE II's 50 anniversary until we turned on the telly. Next day we were at Buckingham Palace watching the pageantry.
thanks everyone, really appreciate the help, mine is N+ so I can order the right bits.
will be looking at the weekend for those parts as my youngest son is in for a leg operation tomorrow
this is insane, boys have gone to bed so looked up the parts I need, 4 bleeder screws & a M/C rebuild kit, will cost me £21.95 for the parts & £67 for shipping!!! may have to rethink this, will keep you all posted..
can any one give me the specs on the bleeders I need, ie, tpi, length, diameter, metric or imperial etc... am going to see if I can find a UK alternative. thanks
Rich
Thanks, Jefffafa, I may be swapping the whole front end now as I've found a '97 Jag IFS which will fit with very little persuasion, will probably look for an IRS match it, instant 5" drop all round
Cool! I am assuming that Jag had 4 wheel disc brakes. Get the master cylinder and booster off it also. The rear set up you want will probably have disc brakes also.
yes discs all round vented fronts, solid rears but will see if I change them, hadn't thought about the m/c and booster, the Jag 5 stud is the same as chevy so lots of wheel options even here in UK
