1948 L-6 engine ODDITIES !?! *
I've come across a new Wrinkle ....
At least for me it's " new " :
I'm in the process of buying this really nice ol' '48 F-1
The engine is a bit of a mystery to me .....
The manifolds ( intake & exhaust )
are on the Righthand ( passenger ) side !!!
. . . Also the Distributor is a direct drive Off of the Cam ,
Located on the right side , just beside & lower from the waterpump .
As - IF that were not enough ...... the dist. cap is more flat , similar to a 6 legged spider ;-/
The vin Tag indicates that it's an " H " style engine , but then again ;
Is it possible that the HD is more like the " real "
reading I ought to give it ?
Partial VIN : 87 HD * _ _ _ _ _ _ *

The stars are seriously !!! Part of the Vin Tag ;-P
I am absolutely * Corn-fuzed * by this one .......

Please Help , If anyone can shed some light on this ,
I'm in your debt .
Thanks in advance !
I wish Could show pics , darn it .
