40/20/40 Split Bench Seat Mounting
Hey guys, I bought a 40/20/40 split bench for my 97 F250HD Super Cab and need the mounting bracket that allows the seats to be properly installed without drilling inboard holes and using spacers, etc. I work for a Ford dealer and have located a few places that have them but I want to verify the part number if anyone has that information to make sure I have the right bracket and not the small one that the '20' portion mounts to...

Keep in mind too, the seating bolt pattern for the SuperCab is different than the Single/Crew cab. I don't think they made an adapter like this for the SuperCab - instead, the bucket seats were individually mounted directly to the floor.

See, as I looked at it, this is what I thought. I got many conflicting answers as to whether or not I needed the pan mount. Looks like I will be installing the seats ASAP!!

The bracket on the center seat looks like a butterfly that went through a hurricane!!
I'm kidding of course , but it is big and goofy looking.I've had mine out a couple of times, I have a 2-way radio control box mounted under the center seat, and it fits so close there is no way to get to the radio gear with the seat in there.

That part number will do the OP no good. That is NOT for his super cab.
To the OP. White 97 xlt hit the nail on the head. There are 3 separate brackets to mount the 40-20-40 in a SUPERCAB. One for each "40" and one for the "20". 8 bolts total hold the 40-20-40 in a super cab. The inner bolts for the "40" also hold the "20" into place

Can you post pics of the brackets and sliders for the supercab with 40-20-40 configuration? I'm switching from a bench, have the seats just need the brackets and sliders.

Bucket seats in an extended cab don't use an adapter bracket - the track assemblies for each seat mount directly to the floor. But, those track assemblies will only work with seats that came out of an extended cab. Is that what you have? If so, I may have a set of what you need.

I have a 94 F150 Supercab and seats w/mounting brackets out of a non ext cab truck. Good price on the seats figured I could just get the brackets that mount in the ext cab to the seats I have. Sounds like it may not be that easy.

If what you have is exactly what's pictured above, just bolt them in and call it done.

The guy that I bought the seats from said that they came out of a crew cab so just have been searching to find the right braketry. Problem solved.I've already shampooed the upholstery, took it off to add heated seats and bought some REAL nice neoprene seat covers from Cover King. This weekend I will be pulling the bench seat, adding some dynomat to the flooring and run my wiring for the seat heaters, new sub, overhead console and the power lumbar. Thanks again!
