Hi all,
has anyone installed the dieselsite fuel filter / water separator system for our 6.7's . And If so how do you like it. and your pro's and con's besides price.
I was wondering the same thing. Is this filter setup really needed? It really looks like a great setup but the price is steep. I have not found any water or dirty fuel yet when doing my monthly water separator checks.
That is exactly what I was after in latte January this year. But i did not know about it then. But I think it would be a very good thing to install. For a few reasons,
1st being that you can actually see the fuel and if there is water in the system
2nd you now have way better filtration than the factory put on but you still keep all your factory stuff in place
3rd it will actually separate the water from the fuel, where I think the factory version will let "some" get by.
For the price VS. piece of mind compared to a potential high pressure pump and injection system it is very very cheap.
I would have liked to see a heater option for those of us in colder climates but what are you going to do.
I ended up ordering a FASS for the water separation and the fact you can get a heater kit for it. The heater will be good on those -40 F. days in the winter. I have not got it installed yet been to busy but soon.
