ABS flashing a code?

My 97 F250 7.3 4x4 is flashing the abs light in sequences of 16 flashes. Any ideas what it's trying to tell me? Been searching online but short of going to Ford [ugh!] I havn't came up with anything yet.

From: Southern West Virginia

Pull the VSS from the rear diff and clean the end of it. Check all the wiring and the plug going to it for corrosion or damage.
