i dont see any timing info in that chart. but right now i have it set at 12 degrees and it runs really strong, i tried 14 degrees but it was kinda hard to start so i went back to 12

The link as well as the links at the bottom of that page will give most of the specs on your motor .. The timing between hard to start and perfect is ever so slight .. You are checking it with vaccum line to vaccum advance disconnected and vaccum line plugged .. Just checking My preference is to set static timing with vaccum gauge because I can see better the tiny incremental changes ..

yea the line was pulled off and plugged. i just wanted to get all out of the timing that i can. seems 12 degrees is it. it was at 12 when i started and thats where i ended up after trying 10 and 14 degrees.

That's your motor telling you you went too far, back off a little.

With 26 degrees mechanical 12 degrees initial should be your max, you really don't want to exceed 38 total, otherwise you risk detonation.
