I want to be able to have the doors open, stereo on, and no door chime ringing.
While I was at the dealer a few days ago I asked if they could print me part of the wiring diagram showing the wire colors for the door chime circuit. They gave me a sheet showing the switch running to body module on a green/violet wire. I located that wire under the right kick panel and cut it to see if it would simulate the door always open. It didn't so I went back and asked again, this time they said it was impossible to disable because it went to four different modules.
It shouldn't be impossible even if it goes to four modules. If there is only one switch then I only need to take control of that switch. I want to set up a circuit using a SPDT switch so that I can toggle between normal operation of door always closed simulation.
I have searched this website and elsewhere but the info about a switch going to the tumbler in the steering colum isn't correct for a 2013.
Anyone know of a way to do this? I looked at the Helm site but the wiring diagrams are not available yet...just very very expensive complete manuals.
I do this all the time. It actually sounds better with both front doors closed, windows down and open the back doors and rear window glass if you have it.
