Aftermarket headlight assys.........

Anyone here used the clear Depo? Want to upgrade without having to spend the big $$ for HID on my '96 F350. The Eagle Eyes assy I put on went south after a year because the sealant where the lens mounts to the assy wasn't up to the summer heat here in NC. I can't even remember where I got them, but the OEM got hazy and needed to be replaced. I would really like to find a glass lens assy, but not even sure any aftermarket like that is made. I prefer the clear lens. Hella has some 100w/80w bulbs I'd like to try. I realize those bulbs are for off-road use only and they will be. Will upgrade wiring harnesses also. One site I looked at said I could do a Hella Vision Plus 7"x6" Sealed Beam Conversion Headlamp with an H4 bulb? Has anyone done that? I'm not really sure that would work out very well. I may get experimental, but right now all I want is a clear reliable aftermarket assy with the brightest bulb I can get without melting the casing. Also, who makes the best wiring harness upgrades? Some on Amazon don't look too promising, and I sure don't want to burn up my truck. Will appreciate any comebacks.

I've read it's pretty easy to wire up yourself but I don't know what is required.

Ive owned alot of these trucks and the only ones ive had with the bumper with holes is late 95 to 97. And it didnt matter if they were f150-350 they had them. But thats in my neck of the woods and it could be different elsewhere.
I would put the relay kit on if your wanting brighter lights. It works great

No, just the wiring upgrade kit. I may end up just going hid though. I know how to retrofit projectors, I may or may not go that far.

Front Lower Air Dam Light Kit

Has anyone installed the Recon lights that go on the Front Lower Air Dam?
I know Recon has a semi negative reputation as far as quality and customer service on here. Just wonder how much wire comes in the kit or is it just two short wires off the lights?

Any semi-decent HID setup will have the ballasts running straight from the battery through a relay. The original headlight leads become simple trigger wires, with only milliamps running through them.

But still do NOT do a HID plug and play kit. They're hideous, they're dangerous to other drivers, and they don't put any extra USEABLE light down without having proper housings or projectors. If you want to do something on the cheap, buy a set of clear headlights, and install something like a Morimoto mini swap projectors.

As far as relay kits for std headlights, you don't really need a "kit". You just need 2 30A bosch style accessory relays, some 12 & 16GA wire and some connectors. I guess a kit would make it easier if you're scared of learning something, but there's nothing difficult about wiring up a relay.
