I don't post much because so many folks have much more info than me to pass on. I learned that sometimes it's better to watch and listen, then say something when needed.
After having my truck all completed late this summer my job moved me overseas to Tel Aviv Israel for a few years. She is in good hands pickled in the garage back in WI until we get back. I thought about bringing it here to Israel, but all vehicles have to be stock tires and suspension and I didn't feel like dealing with the traffic. Also to much of an urge to run over a little Fiat or Suzuki that would might swerve in front of me. I did see some of our members have Ford trucks here in Israel, but so far I have only seen loose bow ties and those things with the Cummins's diesel.
Thanks for the great forum and I will be keeping in touch from a far!
Kevin
Hope it all works out for you over there Kevin. Stay safe and check in anytime. Your truck will just be worth that much more when you get home. God bless,
Thanks! It's been a while since I've been overseas and it is so easy to forget how easy we have it back in the US. Auto tax here is 100%, yes that's right, 100% tax on auto sales! Diesel is about $6 a gallon and sales tax is 17% on all purchases. So that new Superduty diesel that cost about $60,000 in the US would cost $120,000 here. Ouch!
Israel is the only one I'm familiar with, I'm not sure of the other surrounding countries. Very nice country with wonderful people, but expensive. I looked at a gallon of synthetic oil for the car and it was $50.00. My wife about died when I told her how much it would cost to change the truck oil if it was here.
