I am thinking about leveling out the front of my 03/250. I see there are a couple of different ways to go about this. I have found (1) an Add a leaf kit, and (2) spring hanger brackets and shackle brackets. (Big difference in cost between the two) Which is the preffered method of leveling a truck? I am really only looking to get about an inch and half or two inches at the most. I do basically no off roading, this is just strictly for looks.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Rick
The add a leaf will stiffen up the ride some, but will give the little bit of added height you are looking to get.
Another option is the Edge 2" mini spring pack. It will not effect the ride of the factory setup. Cost is around $190 and you can retain your stock shocks........of course upgrading the shocks will give you a better ride.
I think Superlift makes a 2" hanger w/shocks that I think is around $450-500.....but don't quote me on that price.
All other options that I can think of (2.5" Jack-it, 3.5" Fabtech, 3" Edge, 2.5"BDS, etc...) are 2.5" or more.
Thanks DCSpecial, Where can I get more info on the edge 2" mini spring pack? This sounds like it may be the best way to go for me. I really dont want to stiffen up the front end any more than I have to.
Rick.
