Mysterious puddle
Above the water pump, below the distributor, in that pocket on the block there is always a puddle of water. I dont get it. It can be a really hot day with no rain or anything and without fail there will be water resting there. My coolant level is never low... Ever.. That's the most confusing part to me. At first I figured the water pump was letting it seep out around the gasket, but out of all this time I haven't had to top off the coolant at all (4 months). I don't understand where this water is coming from. Anybody experience this?

Yeah, when I pressure tested the system, I found that the bottom side of the thermostat housing was getting just damp enough to drip ever so often.
Also found out that my radiator cap was malfunctioning, and allowing the pressure to build up to like 20psi...
After replacing the cap, the puddle went away.
