Do any of you run wheelwell covers? The plastic pieces that screw into your fender which prevent mud, etc get on the inside of the wheelwells (radiator support, etc)?
I just took mine off and everything was clean on the inside. I just had one that was flapping and my wheel would hit it when i turn so i removed them.
Thinking about putting some fenderwell exit headers on the Bronco one day so they would have to be removed anyways. I was thinking bout putting some rubberized undercoating under each wheelwell too.
Just trying to see who uses them or doesnt use wheelwell covers.
I have them on my 79. On my 75 pickup I don't have them. They help save the cab mounts for sure. Mine are rusty as all get out. Snow and crap builds up inside the door jam as well. When I do the cab swap I will be making sure I have them.
I took them off my 78, but when I pulled an abandoned s-10 with no tires on it around a sand lot @ the beach the front tires threw sand all up in the door jambs and I suspect when I go hit some mud it will do the same. Maybe even soak my butt inside. I will be replaceing mine with some aluminum ones 1 day. I have a metal break and will make some I am thinking. Foir a whole lot less than new ones.
