I've got a one ton dually and I was wondering if anyone has done anything to isolate the tire, so it doesent completely cover the underside of the bed with mud and dirt. Instead of the plastic inner fenders I'm going to use rubber mud flaps and make them wrap around my tire. Just wondered if anyone else has done this.
I have the factory plastic inner fender liners on my Late '99-you should have the same....I don't go off road at all so no real mud/dirt problems to report.
I'm not sure what you mean by wrapping rubber mud flaps around your tires.......
I can see where the mud flap would be tougher. It should withstand the rocks and such much better. My factory ones are starting to fatigue out. I replaced the DvrSd already looks like the Pass Sd is going to need it soon.
I'm wanting to take rubber mud flaps and enclose the tires so the the inside of my fenders the springs and my frame does not get completely covered in mud and dirt. And the mudflaps will hold up to rocks and stuff thrown by the tires just wondered if anyone has done this.
Not on my truck but a friend of mine did this on his dodge. It actually came out real nice! Sorry no pics of it though. Truck was sold a good while back! He now drives a super duty! Lol
