Injector code location?

Where is the code stamped on the injector? I need to replace mine badly, and I'm planning to get the rebuilds from R&D but need to know my codes first for the core. Mine are stock judging by the paint, the engine is an 88. That might be a new contest, who has the most miles on their injectors, these are over 200k.

Right on the hex part of the injector. The font's large enough, but the lines of the font are thin so it's hard to see.

Why buy used when you can buy new ones?? And no need for a core! The diesel store sells delphi brand new! Any code you want.

They sell delphi BB codes which supersede the older codes. I would almost bet the new stanadynes they advertise are out of stock. I have not been able to source any except old stock.

And bb delphis are subject to their sketchy product runs. The warehouse I buy from runs out and backorder time is usually 2 to 4 months.

As said above, the code is on the Hex...

If you are looking to save a bit of coin, I can assure you my injectors are well worth the money for a rebuilt set.

If you are after new, and want to keep your sticks around 1800 pop, buy a set of new ones from Russ...

If you want a new set with a little higher Pop (2200 or 2500) I can probably help you out...

Plenty of options, Just depends on what you are after.

IIRC... The 88's should be D-codes.... But it could be hit or miss...

Well, according to the site, the rebuilds are matched pretty decent, and typefour's post echos what I have heard about off the shelf stuff. Boost is in the future of this engine, it's going to take a lot of custom stuff and maybe even restarting the build from a different angle to fit the engine better, but it'll happen. I'd like to get the 90cc pump too, it's a good deal vs an off the shelf reman.
If I was hung up on new stuff, I wouldn't have this engine in this truck. I'd rather have a quality balanced set than "new" just because it's new. Granted, just about anything would be better than the ones in there now, but still........
The 2200s listed would be fine, I'm not going nuts building this and I'm most concerned with them being pretty well matched.

thats why I match the new sets before they go out the door, too many manufacturing variables. Plus it makes for a VERY smooth engine all other things being equal.

There's no known history on the beast I have now, engine's been replaced and the when/why and with what (used, rebuilt?) is unknown.

But on my '84, it had 300K even on it when I sold it. Original injectors, new IP pump just before 200K. Ran absolutely great when it was sold.
