I dont have the money right now for that pan but i have time ,material and skill to make it happen. I want to install a 400 in a 1980 fox body.
My question is for the dipstick tube. Each application requirerd dipstick tube adjustment. how do i adjust lenght? How much oil is left in the oil pan will the engine is running ? or i should just put 7 quart in and let it run for 30 sec to fill up the system including the oil filter then adjust full on my dipstick then remove 1 quart and put a second mark for add ?
well if you got the time anything is possible. Build a mock u and pour in 7 qts of water and see what you have. need to have about 3/8" to 1/2" clearance from pickup to btm of oilpan. You can also build a crank scraper on side of pan to help catch some of the oil slinging around in crankcase. I have some photos of a oil pan i had built by kevko racing and can see a few things that i requested for the build. good luck! any questions drop a message.
