New Engine & Trans

I want to pull my 4.6/auto w/od and drop a 5.8/t-5. Does anyone have any advice for what windsor I should go for? Or on a manual conversion? Hell, or if there's a better trans for an 02 xlt fx4 supercrew?

If i was to do it i would get a manual trans out of a f250 like the ZF-5. The t5 i dont belive is known to be the strongest, I could be wrong though

I read that it's common to pair a 351w with a t-5....but the application is probably for something smaller than an f-series

That is what i am thinking like a built ranger, or mustang,not for hauling or towing, i could be wrong though.

Also why the 5.8? why not the 5.4?
